Also the amount of great older movies available on youtube always impresses me. Every time I can’t find an obscure movie on torrent, it is usually just there on youtube. Mosfilm has been remastering their most classic releases and uploading them there.

This reminds me of my trip to the secondhand bookstore. I found a copy of “Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men” by Lundy Bancroft.

Inside this copy there were underlined sections at the very beginning and words circled - my favorite being “The reasons that an abusive man gives for his behavior are simply excuses” - underlined and excuses circled. The page was marked with a bookmark entitled “Who I am in Christ” and there wasn’t any more annotations after that point.

It struck me so much. Both under the hope that this meant she left and the hope that this particular Church had supported her decision versus normalizing abuse.
